Promotional communication · Nuxt.js website
Cube ProEmotion
Cube ProEmotion is a Rome-based promotional communication agency I have worked with since the start of my career. On their design I built their Nuxt.js website, after years of landing pages, tablet apps and internal tools.
Tools used
- Nuxt.js
- Vue
- JavaScript
I have worked with Cube ProEmotion since the very beginning of my career, and to me they are a second family. I started with small HTML emails, then the first HTML sites; from there a collaboration grew that has never stopped. Over the years I have built all sorts of projects for them: mostly landing pages and temporary promotional sites tied to their campaigns, but also applications used on tablets at events and several internal tools their team uses every day. The work shown here is their website, built with Nuxt.js on the design created by the agency.
The client
Cube ProEmotion is a communication agency founded in Rome in 2005 that combines strategy and creativity to build emotional brand activations, out of store and in store, offline and online. It describes itself as a shopper activation specialist: it designs contests, promotions, loyalty programmes, storytelling and social responsibility initiatives that combine the promotional benefit with the emotional value of the brand. In more than twenty years it has built hundreds of case histories and is ISO 9001 certified.
Architecture and technologies
The site is a Nuxt.js application. It is the foundation I use for projects where the visual side matters a lot: Vue lets me build each section as an isolated component, with its own markup, logic and style, while Nuxt.js adds page routing, server-side HTML generation for search engines and loading only the components that are needed. For an agency that works with emotions the first impression is part of the message, so animations and illustrations had to coexist with a site that is fast and readable on a phone too.
My work
An illustrated design that stays light
The agency's design is full of illustrations, animated elements and project images. My job was to turn it into components faithful to the design, making sure the animated opening and the illustrated sections did not slow the page down and stayed consistent at every screen width, from phone to desktop.
Case histories at the centre
The heart of the site is the agency's projects: case histories scroll in sequence, each with its image, the type of activity and the story of the campaign, alongside the sections presenting the agency, the team and its skills. I structured the pages so that projects are the thread running through the navigation, as they are in the way the agency presents itself to its clients.
The outcome
The site is the showcase Cube ProEmotion uses to present its work, built on a modern technical foundation that can evolve without being rebuilt from scratch. It is also the latest step, for now, in a collaboration that started with a simple HTML email and grew over the years into the tools the agency uses every day.
