AI can help draft image descriptions and transcripts, but I always review them: a wrong alternative text does more harm than none.

What accessibility means

A site is accessible when it can also be used by people who can't see well or at all, who can't use a mouse, who can't hear videos or who find it hard to read and concentrate. That means adequate colour contrast, alternative text for images, clear forms, menus that work with a keyboard and a structure that voice assistants can read.

A benefit for everyone

The same fixes make the site easier on a phone, in bright sunlight or on a slow connection, and they help SEO, because Google reads pages much like voice assistants do.

Guidelines and rules

I follow the WCAG guidelines, the international reference. In Europe, accessibility of some digital products and services is a legal requirement: I help you understand whether it applies to you and prepare what is needed, without promising certifications that don't exist.
