Sagre Autentiche is the portal for discovering local food festivals and fairs near you, searching by place, date and product, with a visitor community, an area for organisers and a blog. I built the site entirely in WordPress, customised to the fullest: SEO, speed, map, APIs and user dashboard.

People searching for “food festivals near me” find events, tastings and places to eat local food here. You search by place, date and product, explore by region, discover the featured festivals and those of the month, or ask the site what is on near you.

WordPress pushed to the limit
I built the site entirely on the WordPress programming side, caring for every detail of the user experience: it shows how far WordPress can go when it is hand-coded.
Map and APIs
The portal uses a map to show the festivals around the visitor and connects through APIs to other services to keep data up to date.
User dashboard
Visitors and organisers have a personal dashboard with the features reserved for their profiles.
SEO and speed
The site is built to be found and to load quickly, both decisive for a portal that lives on searches like “food festivals near me”.
