Sailing school · Website and management system
Altura Vela
Altura Vela is a sailing school in Rome, active since 1991: sailing courses, boat licences, regattas and cruises, with bases in Rome, Fiumicino, Nettuno and Cala Galera and a fleet of 10 boats. I built the website in WordPress and a custom management system for boats, skippers and members, and I also look after hosting, email and the newsletter.
About Altura Vela
Altura is a sailing school in Rome that has been taking people out to sea since 1991, from beginners to those who want to become skippers. Around the school there is a community of members who share a passion for sailing.
What they do
- Sailing courses for all levels, from the basic course to advanced training, plus skipper courses, in weekend or full-immersion format, with FIV instructors and skippers.
- Boat licence courses, within 12 miles and unlimited, online and in person.
- Regattas and cruises: training cruises and sailing holidays in Italy and around the world, as well as skippered charter.
- A fleet of 10 company-owned boats, with bases in Rome, Fiumicino, Nettuno and Cala Galera.
My work
The WordPress website
The site presents the whole offer: courses, boat licences, cruises, charter and fleet. It is built in WordPress and I look after every part of it, from content to structure, from speed to maintenance.
The custom management system
The most interesting part is the management system, fully custom and built in Nuxt: it handles boats, skippers and members. It integrates Stripe payments and AI features that take repetitive work off the people organising courses and trips.
Hosting, email and newsletter
I also take care of hosting, email and the newsletter you can subscribe to from the site. One point of contact for the whole technical side, end to end.
Shall we talk about your project?
